They apparently took ther name from (rumoured) experiments during WW2 whereby captives would be played white noise for an extended period of time, 65 days being the amount of time it took them to go mad.

Johnny Marr curates the Marc Riley show. The live band are 65daysofstatic who are well my most favouritest band in the world. They play 3 never heard before tracks, one of which is so new that it doesn’t even have a title yet.
The rest of the music that Johnny picks is pretty good too.
